Internship Program
MBSC is a sportsman's club founded on work ethic, sportsmanship, and a strong spirit of volunteerism. New members upon initial acceptance into the club (on the night they are voted) shall be enrolled in the MBSC Internship Program and will be assigned to one of three working committees for a period of (12) months with a (12) hour minimum of volunteer service required. These committees are: Kitchen, Buildings & Grounds, and Bar/Entertainment, each headed by a manager.
New members will rotate between the three committees during this (12) month period which offers a great opportunity to meet other long standing members, gives you a chance to become more familiar with the inner-workings of the club, and offers MBSC members in good standing an opportunity to get to know you, our newest members. During the Internship Program period new members shall have full access to the MBSC facilities.
On the (12) month anniversary date of a new member’s Internship Program, those names will be presented to the BOD by the Membership and/or Executive Secretaries where they will be reviewed for final approval as members in good standing with the MBSC. We understand there may be individuals with limited capabilities or extenuating circumstances that would prevent strenuous types of labor due to a variety of circumstances and would like to ensure our newest members that this will be taken into account on a fair, equitable, and case-by-case basis. The MBSC welcomes those that want to assist the club and does not tolerate discrimination.
We hope that our new members will enjoy the Internship Program and will take advantage of what it has to offer, and that you will continue this spirit of volunteerism and sportsmanship after completion of the program - because the needs of the MBSC don’t stop there! The club has 250+ members and 62 acres; has 4 main facilities and various outdoor shooting ranges for Archery, Rifle, Pistol, & Black Powder so there is always something that requires attention.
We look forward to getting to know you, our newest members, and hope you'll enjoy getting to know us and what the club stands for. The three main committee managers set club priorities by working with other C\committee heads and the BOD. They will contact you regarding their respective work parties and will set their own schedules. When available, notices for work parties will also be published in the monthly newsletter and on the website. We look forward to getting to know you, and hope you will enjoy the Internship Program en route to becoming a member in good standing.

Welcome New Members!
Welcome to all new members of the Monument Beach Sportsman’s Club. This website has been designed to assist new members in becoming familiar with the club’s primary rules and regulations. But above all - to assist you in learning how to become involved in the many interesting activities the club has to offer.
This website includes a copy of the club’s bylaws, Range Rules for all of our respective ranges, a current listing of the BOD and Executive Board Members, duties and responsibilities of Club Officers, and an explanation of the requirements of the Internship Program for new members.
Our Officers and Committee Heads are very willing to offer assistance to all members to help them become more involved with the club. The MBSC has become what it is today through hard work and volunteer spirit of dedicated members who continue to contribute time and effort to create what we all now enjoy. Hopefully, all of our new members will take advantage of the opportunity to get to know other fellow members and develop friendships that so many of us have enjoyed.
One of the best resources for finding out what’s happening around the club is the club’s newsletter the “MBSC Gazette” where club business as well as local & regional sporting information is updated monthly and sent to each member as part of the club’s service to its membership.
Reading the monthly newsletter is one of the best ways to keep track of what the club is doing – except for attending the monthly General Assembly Meetings which are held on the last Wednesday of each month where members can partake of a hearty home cooked meal, imbibe in a cool beverage of choice ‘at a reasonable rate’, and where you get the same information you’ll get in the newsletter- with a little social activity for good measure! Attending meetings and member volunteerism are two integral parts of MBSC. We depend on the volunteer efforts of our members to run the club. Please support your club by attending the General Assembly Meetings. Board of Director meetings are open to all members. Please refer to our calendar for a schedule of events.
Congratulations on becoming a member of the Monument Beach Sportsman’s Club. Remember - any club is only as good as the people that belong and contribute.
